While telehealth is an effective means to evaluate certain health conditions, it is not suitable for every medical issue. In-person visits may be required for more complex issues or conditions that need immediate, hands-on intervention.
As part of this telehealth urgent care service, narcotics and sedatives will not be prescribed. This includes controlled substances such as opioids, benzodiazepines, and other medications that are typically used to manage pain or anxiety in a sedative manner. This policy ensures responsible prescribing and reduces risk of misuse.
You will be connected with a healthcare provider through a video consultation, phone call, or messaging platform, depending on your preference and availability.
During the consultation, you will discuss your medical concerns, symptoms, and medical history. The provider will perform a virtual assessment and may recommend treatment or refer you to in-person care if needed.
If appropriate, the provider may prescribe non-narcotic medications such as antibiotics or other common treatments. Prescriptions are sent to a pharmacy of your choice.
You may be asked to schedule a follow-up consultation if your condition doesn’t improve or worsens. Your provider will guide you through next steps.
Because these visits are virtual, physical exams and diagnostic testing are limited. This may affect the provider’s ability to fully assess your condition.
Telehealth depends on a reliable internet connection and compatible device. Poor audio/video quality or connection issues may disrupt care.
This platform is for non-life-threatening situations only. For emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest ER.
